"It's the story of a ball. A great ball.

In the Bourbonnais bocage, in July, for over 27 years, rain, sleet, wind or shine, we dance, we dance, for seven days and seven nights.

There are over two thousand of us, all generations, from infants to octogenarians. Many languages are spoken. We come from all over. It spins, it twirls, it stomps, it trances, it sweats, it laughs, it cries, it sings, it plays, it oozes, it lives.

I dance too.

But this year, I'm also going to make a film. To try to share and make this whirlwind visible to those who don't know it. The film, too, like a whirlpool.
Dance, dance, hold on, eat, dance, dance, dance, sleep, dance, dance, listen to your body, how tired you are, drink, dance, don't miss a thing, sometimes it's even better when you've gone to bed, dance, meet each other.

To film the glances, the exchanges, the "between", the community, the sum of its singularities, the stammering, nascent movement, the agility, the simplicity of the experienced, the letting go, the liberties taken, the gentle madness, the great humanity that unfolds, the joy that lights up the faces, the expectations on the chairs, the love that is born, the fatigue that falls, the bonds that tighten and keep us standing.

To show how different it is, when we finally dare to touch, when we look at each other, when we live together. And life pulsates.
