About
SaNoSi.live is an online viewing platform launched in 2023, giving the general public access to the SaNoSi Productions catalog as well as to events associated with these films (festivals, meetings, screening debates...).
Since 2012, SaNoSi Productions has produced nearly 80 films, including short programs, documentaries and dramas for television and cinema. More than half of these films are first works, by authors from all over the world.
In 2018, two feature-length documentaries produced by SaNoSi Productions were in the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival: To the four winds, by Michel Toesca and Le Grand Bal, by Laetitia Carton. To the four winds received a special mention for the Oeil d'Or, the award for best documentary, as well as numerous prizes at international festivals. Le Grand Bal was nominated in 2019 for the César for Best Documentary.
In 2021, SaNoSi Productions continued to open up internationally with two new feature films for cinema in the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival: the documentary H6, by Chinese director Ye Ye, in the special screening, and the feature-length drama Freda, by Haitian director Gessica Généus, in the Un certain regard section. Freda was theatrically released on October 13, 2021, and has been honored with over 20 international awards. H6 was released on February 2, 2022. Both films are distributed in France by Nour Films. International sales are handled by SaNoSi Productions.
In 2023, SaNoSi Productions is co-producing the film Pierre Feuille Pistolet (In the rearview), by Maciek Hamela, selected at ACID - Cannes, and at numerous festivals around the world, where it has won several awards. The film will be released in France on November 8 with New Story. International sales are handled by Cinephil.
At the same time, SaNoSi Productions continues to diversify, distributing films from its catalog directly online via the SaNoSi.live platform. This tool makes it possible to ensure event-driven releases, such as that of Michel Toesca's series Autrement, on November 3, 2023, in partnership with Mediapart, BipTV and Vosges TV.
A first theatrical release in France organized by SaNoSi will take place on November 15, 2023, with the film The yellow ways, by Sylvestre Meinzer, in partnership with Tënk and Politis.
