Freda in the Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma scheme
29/01/2025 à 16:00We are honoured that Freda, directed by Gessica Généus, is one of the films selected for the 2024-2025 edition of the Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma en Île-de-France programme.
Alongside great classics and landmark works such as :
Charlie Chaplin's City Lights (1931)
Black Harvest by Robin Anderson & Bob Connolly (1993)
The Host by Bong Joon-ho (2006)
Guillaume Brac's À l'abordage (2021)
Gessica's film will contribute to the artistic and cultural education of thousands of secondary school students and apprentices in the Paris region. It's a fantastic opportunity to introduce young people to politically committed films and the richness of cinematic language.
Since its inception, Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma has enabled over 800,000 young people to discover cinema in theatres, with structured educational support. This essential programme is supported by the Île-de-France Region, the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), the DRAC Île-de-France, and implemented by the ACRIF and the Cinémas Indépendants Parisiens.
We would like to thank all the partners who are making this possible and enabling films like Freda to live on and inspire new generations of cinema-goers.
