Its terrace has become a meeting place for the neighborhood's \"bobos\".\r\n\r\nIn the course of a final day of palaver before its definitive closure, Le Soleil will see the last witnesses to the short and long history of Algerian immigration to France cross paths. Marie Moreau lives and works in the Rhône-Alpes region of France and is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d'Art de Grenoble. A director and artist-explorer, she co-founded the project "Syndicat d'initiatives" in 2001, which has been activated several times and was represented at the Paris Biennial in 2006. Her films and installations are currently presented in France and abroad. His installations, actions and films are rooted in reality.
\r\n\r\nHis work questions living together and the transmission of forgotten experiences, but also raises questions about wandering, non-places, wastelands and other possible spaces, forgotten, hidden, excluded. Through the creation of convivial devices, she engages the protagonists towards an aesthetic commonality.
\r\n\r\nMarie Moreau co-founded the production company Les Films Cabanes (France, Grenoble) in 2014. She founded the association ex.C.es in 2007. She has been a regular speaker at the Grenoble School of Art since 2007.
\r\n\r\nThrough the presence of the author in performances, video installations or documentary essays, the politics of her images reveal a shared reality, in the making. Filmer-filmed. Viewer-viewed. And the thirst for re-presentation that circulates, and that speaks of a world of desire. Marie Moreau watches, flushes out at the same time as she gets caught up in her own games with the protagonists.

\r\n\r\nShe encountered creative documentary during her post-graduate studies at the Lyon School of Art. She then decided to take a different path and attended the master's degree in documentary filmmaking at Lussas (University of Grenoble).
\r\n\r\nHer graduation film, D'un chagrin j'ai fait un repos, was widely distributed and allowed her to travel as far as Cuba, where it won an award.
\r\n\r\nIn 2009, she made her first film for television, La Pieuvre, about Huntington's disease, a genetic neurodegenerative disease that is decimating her family.
\r\n\r\nAt the same time, she wrote and started shooting a film with the Deaf community in 2006, about sign language, which she completed nine years later. I will walk towards you with the eyes of a Deaf person) was released in January 2016.
\r\n\r\nIn the meantime, she directed for the cinema the portrait of her friend Edmond Baudoin, a comic book author, which was released in September 2015.
\r\n\r\nHer latest film for the cinema, Le Grand Bal, attracted over 57,000 spectators in France after an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival. The film has been nominated for the César for best documentary in 2019.

Denis Darzacq was born in 1961 and lives and works in Paris.
\r\n\r\nHe graduated from the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 1986, in the video section, and started photography by following the French rock scene. He also became a set photographer on many feature films (Satyajit Ray, Jacques Rivette, Chantal Ackerman, etc.).
\r\nFrom 1989, he regularly collaborates with the daily newspaper Libération and more generally with the national press. He became a member of the VU agency in 1997.
From 1995 onwards, his photographic work led him to take an interest in the interactions of individuals from minorities with society, whether social and ethnic (Bobigny centre ville 2000, Nus 2003, La Chute 2006, Hyper 2010), sexual (Only Heaven 1995) or physical or psychological (Act 1 and Act 2 2010-2015). In a search for balance, a true political metaphor, the models' bodies take up position in the frame. His photographs are built on paradoxical realities that he endeavours to bring into dialogue.
\r\n\r\nSince 2014, these questions have taken on a new development through the production of films (La visite du Louvre 2016, Comme un Seul Homme 2014, Sisyphe 2019) and the creation of video installations (La ronde 2017 and Rise 2019).
\r\n\r\nIn parallel with these works, which systematically include the human figure, he has been developing photographic work for the past ten years based on objects that he stages in neutral environments (Recomposition 2010, Contreformes 2015, Absences 2018, Apories 2021). These photographs, in a desire to liberate the duty to inform, concrete and abstract at the same time, question the materiality and meaning of images.
\r\n\r\nRecently, from photographs of bodies or sculptural objects, he has moved on to making sculptures (Les trophées 2019 and Feuilles 2021).
\r\n\r\nDistinction:
\r\n\r\nLauéat of the photographic commission of the Bibliothèque nationale de France "regard sur un pays traversé par la crise sanitaire", 2022.
\r\n\r\nNiepce Prize 2012. First prize at the World press photo 2007, category: "Stories" Arts & Entertainment (La Chute). Altadis Prize in 2000.

After five years of prosecution for the \"crime of solidarity\", chicken farmer Cédric Herrou had the \"principle of fraternity\" recognized in the French Constitution. Since then, he has changed his world, dispossessing himself of his land to turn it into common land and founding, with Marion Gachet, the Emmaüs Roya community (the first agricultural Emmaüs community in the world), which opens up the possibility of offering a living environment to precarious people in any situation, even \"irregular\" ones. ANOTHER WAY tells this story.
\r\nANOTHER WAY is a response to all those who prefer to build walls rather than bridges. A story on a local scale and universal in its human, social, political and ecological dimensions.
\r\nIt's a joyful, thrilling adventure, driven by the impressive resilience of the characters who bring it to life through their hard work, their sense of resourcefulness, their unshakeable will and their inventive courage... Characters perpetually regenerated by an analysis of society based on their situation, full of intelligence, lucidity, irony and even humor, about a region, a country, a continent, a world and an era.
\r\nAn eco-political, solidarity-based and fraternal success story that traces the invention of a \"different\" way of thinking, living and doing things in a border valley, the Roya, which flows into the Mediterranean between France and Italy.
Born in Warsaw, graduated from Sorbonne University Paris-IV and the EICAR film school in Paris, where he studied while renovating old Paris apartments. Producer, director and scriptwriter for film and radio. Creator of the documentary film "Bless You" (Doc Alliance Award, winner of 7 European documentary film festivals including the Cannes Film Festival) and producer of numerous internationally acclaimed documentaries including "Convictions", "Polonaise" and "Gatherers of Sea Grass". He creates independent radio documentaries for Polish Radio and Audioteka, including "Bitwa pod Gortatem" and "Plan B".

Before everything fades away, we decide to take advantage of the time that remains to look at each other and talk as never before.
