We the unquiet
France - 2017 - 83 min - Original French version, English subtitles We the unquiet is a collective cinema experience that takes place in a therapeutic reception centre in Reims (in the East of France). The film offers an indirect self-portrait of the Artaud center in which patients and staff play along in order to give a more human picture of madness. With the advent of the DSM-5 (classification of mental disorders) and a tendency of psychiatry to think of the illness in terms of symptoms rather than focusing on the human point of view, the Artaud centre poses as an alternative.
Times are changing
French - 99 min - version originale française September 2006, May 2007, the film takes place throughout the campaign for the new president of the French Republic. At a café, at the hairdressers, in a workshop, in places we live, in places we work, we met each other. Moments chosen from a country’s life. Keeping a good distance from simplistic ideas and ambient cynicism, we met, us, inhabitants of this country, to speak about the times to come, about the rupture that has been so repeatedly announced, about our ambitions and the complexity of the world. In short, about politics.
